Community Banking Month

As the newest Community Bank in Western New York, Waterford Village Bank is here for you!

• Community bank loans benefit our neighborhood businesses and residents.

In April, in honor of "Community Banking Month" Waterford Village Bank asked local youths (ages 5-18) to enter our "Part of the Community" contest. The entrants were asked to create an advertisement that showed what community banking means to them. There were 35 entries from different schools all depicting kids' ideas of community banking.

1st place winners received a $500.00 US Savings Bond and 2nd place winners received a$100.00 US Savings Bond. The teacher of each 1st place winner also received $100.00 in cash to use in their classrooms for supplies. All entrants received a Certificate of Participation and a commemorative New York State Quarter with educational information about the 50 State Quarter Program from the US Mint.
